Food Bank
Our primary purpose is to provide food assistance to those in need.
As long as you live in the Moorabool Shire, have appropriate ID, and are in need of food assistance, you are able to access this service.
We provide a wide range of food and personal items and clients are able to choose from fresh fruit and vegetables, canned and packaged goods and frozen items. The amount given is dependent on the number of household members.
Identification is a MUST. This may include, Driver's Licence and or Centrelink card.
A valid photo ID must be presented at EVERY visit, or other forms of photo ID is a MUST.
Bring your own shopping bags.

Due to a large number of current applications NO NEW applications can be taken from now leading up to Christmas. Exceptions may be made for emergencies such as a broken down fridge.
New Applications will be accepted by email from 15/01/2025. If you require school laptops, such loans can be processed for items to be available early in the school year.

The No Interest Loans Scheme provides people on low incomes with flexible and affordable credit for the purchase of household goods or maintenance, education needs, some health or dental needs, car repairs.
NILS loan up to the value of $2,000. No fees, charges or interest.
NILs for Rent in Advance for moving into a rental property may also be available. Enquire at least a month before funds are needed.
Loans for rent owing are not possible.
If you need a Bond for a rental property apply through your 'mygov' account, before you sign any lease.
Loans are not available for debts.
